“Not the least hard thing to bear
when they go from us,
these quiet friends, i
s that they carry away with them
so many years of our own lives.”
As a pet owner, the senior years of your fur babies life is bittersweet. Never has that bond been stronger, and never have we yearned, to have more time, to capture every little moment as a precious memory to keep forever. One beautiful way to capture the memories of our senior pets in a portrait session so they will forever be in our hearts…the Rainbow Sessions.
What is a Rainbow Session?
It's a pet portrait session for a fur friend approaching the end of their time here with us on Earth. This could be for an elderly pet or for one with a terminal illness – either way, they always leave us too soon.
As with anyone or anything we care about, we want to have something to remember them by. Images and artwork provide just that, they capture your pet’s quirks and personality allow you to look back in time to remember your furbaby even after they have crossed that rainbow bridge.
These sessions can be very delicate and at times need to be booked in as soon as possible. I fully understand and do my best to accommodate.
Why do a Session Like This?
It happens all the time, never considering having professional pictures taken of your furbabies or perhaps life just got in the way and you keep putting it off. Unfortunately, sometimes it’s too late and your pup’s life has flashed before your eyes.
I always encourage fur families to get professional photos taken in the prime of their lives, but later is better than never. Trust me you don’t want to miss out on the opportunity to create the moments your special family member with wonderful imagery.
The special bond you share with your pet is like no other and you deserve professional photos of them.

“I guess you don’t really own a dog,
you rent them,
and you have to be thankful
that you had a long lease.”
What Should I Expect
Although these sessions seem like a sad occasion, I approach it from a positive standpoint, trust me this is one of the reasons I started capturing images of pets, the loss of my own old pet. I truly, want the overall experience to be something a fur parent can look back on and smile about.
Although it may be hard to avoid talking about some of the sad stuff, I focus on your bond. All the cute things like the derpy face he or she makes, and he full body wiggles and wags, and those slobbery kisses.
The reason for these sessions is to celebrate their life and bond with you.

our pets have to spend with us,
and they spend most of it
waiting for us to come home each day.”
