I look at this image and think oooh what I wouldn't do for an hour long massage to fill up my 'self care quota'.
Yes, I set a quota.. because I have to remind myself of what self care is! First and foremost it is:
- Self-preservation
- Self-love
- Self-compassion
- A necessity
- Fluid / ever-changing
- Intentional
- Rejuvenating
- Nourishment
- An act of giving yourself permission

1. Sip a hot bevvie while reading a book⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
2. Take a nap on the couch⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
3. Grab a drink with a good friend⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
4. Take a walk in nature⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
5. Take a long hot bath with some music
Remember self care is different for everyone.. it is as noted above ' an act of giving yourself permission' to just relax.
