A bit more.
The sport, yes it's a sport of dog frisbee has grown rapidly, in fact I see a sign advertising for Disc Dogs on my way into town. There are a variety of ways to do the sport and including teams that can perform freestyle routines with multiple discs - can you say creative!?! Advanced freestyle dogs can do back flips, dynamic chest vaults and back vaults. A v ault means the dog needs to launch himself off the trainer and into the air catching the disc in mid-flight.
Just about any dog can be taught to catch a flying disc, and my first session I shot there was even a blind dog ( it was a fun match mind you ). The sport works well with dogs that have strong prey drives and you will see ALOT of the herding breeds pick up the sport with ease. Frisbee is a great way to burn off some of that high energy for thos dogs that need to be exercised or worked with everyday, this sport can also be the solution to dealing with your pets boredom and bad behaviour because of boredom. It is also a fun way for your dog to stay healthy and fit and for you to build a strong bond with your fur baby.
